Reports can be completed for all types of industrial and commercial facilities. Customized reports may be prepared to suit your requirements. Generally, reports will contain details on:
- Construction
- Description of occupancy, including description of hazards, processes, tenants, etc.
- Protection available, adequacy of sprinkler systems, water supplies, extinguishers, alarm systems, and burglary protection
- Exposures
- Management programs - plant emergency organizations, self inspection, cutting/welding hot work, impairment
- Business interruption
- Site plan
- Recommendations
Custom reports may be developed for Fire, Property, Crime, Liability and Course of Construction exposures.

Fire Protection Engineering
The following services are available:
- Provision of specifications for new installations of fire protection equipment & facilities
- Assessment of existing fire protection systems for adequacy
- Review of fire protection plans for compliance to accepted codes
- Witnessing of tests of fire protection equipment, including sprinkler systems, water supplies, fire pumps, CO2, and other related systems. This encompasses acceptance tests of systems, pumps etc.
- Conducting of water flow tests on hydrants
- Review of new construction with surveys done during construction timetable
Experienced personnel are available to perform work across Canada. A practical approach is taken to analyze and resolve problems between insurance companies, brokers and clients. BI&I's qualified staff has the resources to use various accepted standards, such as the National Fire Protection Association to complete a thorough evaluation of a facility. |
