MFE 2412 Tank Floor Scanner
floor scannerThe Floor Scanner uses Magnetic Flux Leakage as a detection tool for any thinning caused by top or bottom side corrosion on Tank floors. Any localized reduction in the thickness of the material will result in flux leakage at the surface.

Metallurgy
metallurgyOur metallurgical technicians can work remotely or on-site to provide a non-destructive assessment of metal components such as boiler drums, headers, suction rolls, calendar rolls, and weld joints. We can examine areas for overheating, cracking, creep damage, and other microstructural anomalies and record our findings using photomicrographs.

Metallurgy is non-destructive, gives immediate results, and assesses the conditions of equipment before refurbishing or repairing it. By detecting corrosion and mechanical degradation, we can estimate the component’s useful life.
Magnetic Particle
We use Magnetic Particle inspection to quickly find cracks and flaws in ferrous metals. Typical applications are deaerators, welds, piping, steam and mud drums, and boilers.
Liquid Penetrant
BI&I employs Liquid Penetrant tests to detect cracks in ferrous and non ferrous materials, including stainless steel vessels and piping, welds, and plastics. Biodegradable dyes make this method appropriate for any industry.
